We're excited to announce important improvements to our email sequences and mobile app this week.
⛓️ Email sequence follow ups on weekdays only
Previously, it was only possible to schedule automated follow ups based on calendar days. From today, users have the option to only consider weekdays (Monday to Friday) when scheduling future follow up emails in a sequence.

Stop multiple users from replying to the same email at the same time, regardless of where they are. Our collision detection now works across our Chrome Extension and mobile app.

βš’οΈ Other minor fixes and improvements
We have also made some improvements requested by users, including:
  • Fixed calendar headers not loading in the detail view of emails containing meeting invitations.
  • Keep unread counts on personal inboxes (previously, those were hidden while Drag was installed).
  • Freeze top bar while scrolling down in email threads, making it always accessible for users.

We're super excited to announce more capabilities to Drag's automations this week.
⛓️ Automation triggers based on replies:
Previously, it was only possible to create automation rules based on new conversations (cards) being created. Today, we're adding the following new triggers based on replies to existing conversations:
  • Inbound reply is received:
a external reply (ie. from an external agent, not from your team) is received into an existing conversation in the board.
  • Outbound reply is sent:
your team sends a new reply on an existing conversation in the board.
These triggers open a whole new world of possibilities for automation rules, especially when it comes to SLA management.
Examples of use case:
avoid breaching times to response SLAs by re-applying SLA tags every time a new reply from a customer is received and removing it when a response is sent by your team, or increase sales response rates by getting custom reminders when you don't receive a reply back from a lead within a period of time.
new triggers
πŸ•™ Email time condition (any time or inside / outside business hours)
For the triggers New conversation (inbound) is created and Inbound reply is received, it is now possible to select the Email time condition, including emails received at any time, just within business hours or just outside business hours.
Example of use case:
set up automations to send different auto-responses to emails received, depending on whether they were received within or outside business hours.

◀️ Trigger reversibility condition
You can now choose whether you want a time-based automation to run even if the original trigger defined for it is not in place anymore. You can do that by using the new trigger reversibility condition, displayed as the 3rd checkbox under the "After..." section in automations.
For example, let's say you want to automatically send a notification 2 business days after a card is moved to a specific column.
In your workflow, 2 different scenarios can happen:
  1. the card is moved to the defined column and remains there for 2 business days OR;
  2. the card is initially moved to the defined column but, before the 2 business days have passed, it is then moved to a different column.
In this case, if the trigger reversibility is enabled, the automation will only run in the scenario #1. If this option is disabled, the automation will run on both scenarios, even if the card was moved to a different column afterwards.
trigger reverse
Today, we're announcing more automations improvements, which are only part of a long list of automation enhancements lined up for the upcoming weeks.
Automations improvements
We're adding 2 more automation actions as of today, available to all Drag plans.
New action: unassign
Previously, it was only possible to assign cards to users. From today, users can now automatically remove assignments (unassign) from cards too.
Example of use case: Let's say you have different team members responsible for each stage of your workflow. You may want want to use this to automatically hand over a task from a team member to another once the a card gets moved to a new stage.
New action: remove tag
Similarly, we are adding the action to remove a tag from cards. Previously, it was only possible to apply tags to cards.
Example of use case: If you are using tags to manage SLAs within Drag (for example, "Upcoming", "Due soon" and "SLA breach"), you may want to use this to change a card SLA status upon completion of a task (eg. remove tag "Upcoming" and add tag "Due soon").
Download all attachments
Previously, users were only able to download attachments from emails one by one when using Drag. Now, you can download all attachments at the same time in a .zip format by clicking on the "download all" button located on the right side of the attachments.

Fixes
  • Fixed automation removing previous assignees when assigning someone new
  • Fixed automation auto-reply sending twice in some scenarios
  • Fixed custom view open on preview mode
  • Fixed 'edit subject' button not loading sometimes
  • Fix wrong 'move' action in the 'Overdue & Due soon' and 'Assigned to Me' views
Custom views let you save and quickly access cards that meet a certain set of predefined combination of filters.
For example, you may want to create a view to filter cards that are due soon or nearing an SLA breach.
Views can be accessed in 1 click, making it quick and easy to locate cards with relevant information and saving users lots of time. They can also be private or shared with the other board members.

A few days ago, we announced the ability to insert email templates when composing emails from our mobile app. From today, it is also possible to send automated email sequences from your phone.
Email sequences from mobile app:
From today, email sequences are also supported by our mobile app. This means that you can start sequences with automated follow ups, from your phone.
Sending email sequences is very similar to sending email templates: just click on "reply/ reply all" from any email to open the compose box, then use the template button (folder icon) located on the bottom right to select the sequence you want to send.
Improvements:
We are also working on a series of improvements in our mobile app. From those, the following improvements are live:
  • Faster loading of the compose box
  • Faster loading of card detail pages
Today we're releasing a handful feature and some speed improvements in Drag.
⌨️ Edit email subject line:
Just like in traditional Gmail, when replying to an email, you can now use the dropdown menu next to the email recipient field to change the subject line of that email.
Changing the email subject will generate a new email thread (and their respective card on Drag), just like in normal Gmail too.

πŸš„ Speed improvements:
We have been working on a series of speed improvements across Drag based on feedback from our users. These are just 2 of the many improvements we will announce over the coming weeks:
Faster "Send & Close" experience.
Faster loading of the compose box when replying to emails.
From today, the email templates you have created in the Drag Chrome Extension are now available to be used while composing emails from our mobile apps.
To use email templates from the mobile app, just click on "reply/ reply all" from any email to open the compose box, then use the template button (folder icon) located on the bottom right. A list of your template folders and their respective templates will appear, you can then select to template to be used.

Users are now able to upload attachments to emails when composing from Drag's mobile apps - iOS or Android. It is possible to upload Files or Photos from your camera roll.

Improvements:
  • Improved UI: Our mobile app just got fresh, cleaner look too, from fresh colors to new icons. Download it now to check it out.
Fixes:
  • Fixed replies (when sent from mobile app) not being sent to the correct 'reply-to' email address when the 'reply-to' address is different than the original sender.
This week we are very excited to announce SLA rules in Drag. (Read more).
πŸ€– SLA automation rules
Service Level Agreements (SLAs) help manage customer expectations and keep your team accountable for timely responses. Drag helps you improve time management to optimize response times even if you don't have formalised SLAs with clients, using a combination of features, from automation rules to reports.
Set reply time goals, view reports on late replies, get notified when replies are overdue or get a heads up when a SLA breach is about to happen and more.

Similarly, you can also use custom notifications to send reminders to relevant users when there's an SLA breach or even before a conversation is due.

This week we are releasing improvements in email notes (and email templates). Users have now richer options to format them, from different fonts to uploading inline images.
πŸ–οΈ New formatting for email notes
Until today, email notes were comprised of only text. With today's release, users can build much more comprehensive email notes inside cards, to visualize and access important information faster.

Improvements:
  • Added "Reply to all / Reply / Forward" buttons on the bottom of email threads like in traditional Gmail to avoid users needing to scroll all the way up to make these actions.
